I didn't realize James had a talent for poetry until I saw these on his website (Sea-Of-Longing). I asked permission from his family, and they said it would be okay to include his poems here. These poems are not to be reproduced, reused, edited, added to, or improved upon without written consent from the Delaney Family. // Dark Fate // Darkness dwells beyond our reach, And yet through fate it comes to teach, As lessons learned through pain we feel, This pain feels false, it feels unreal, Pain caused by a world's inner hate, Caused by greed, jealousy, and fate. // 11th of July 2005 // Gust of Wind // A gust of wind blows through my hair, A day gone by, a night's despair, Time would go on without you here, But I'd find no more surcease of fear. // 11th of July 2005 // The Grassy Cliff // Once there was a tall green cliff where one couple would lay, They'd come each night and sit and chat and talk about their day, Time sure flew while they were there as they always wished to stay, But there was sureness that they'd be there as the sun gave way, But this tall green grassy cliff had flaws unoticed still, As never would this couple ever for the soil till, And brown patches began to show, and nothing could fulfill, The lies and deceit that tore that grass right off that grassy hill, And to this day the boy does cry for that of which he lost, The girl realized she deserved better, no longer bared her cross, And no sun shines there at that hill, every night it rains, As one boy now has to feel a real eternal pain. // 15th of July 2005 [Member Spotlight] [News Story] [Tribute Signatures] [Obituary]
