Your Privacy is important to us
We at GamingEvolved.com take the privacy of our members very seriously. We do not collect any personal information about you such as name, address, phone number or email address, unless otherwise submitted by you in our forums.
Cookies:
A cookie is a small data file containing information and is written to your hard drive when you visit the website. You can choose to be alerted each time your computer is asked to accept a cookie, by choosing Tools and then Internet Options in your browser window. Gaming Evolved uses cookies; specifically, vBulletin, the forum board software that powers Gaming Evolved. These cookies are designed to keep track of where you are in the forums, including allowing you to automatically log in and mark which forums, posts, and threads have been read. Cookies are not a required option; however, they are strongly recommended. You can disable cookies in your User CP's Options. Guests do not use cookies by default.
Who's Online:
vBulletin includes a feature called "Who's Online" which lists all online users, including guests, and their corresponding state (Viewing thread, posting reply, etc.). Who's Online is also echoed occasionally in other situations, such as in your posts (Online Status) and when viewing a forum (Users Browsing This Forum). By default, you are included in this list. To make yourself hidden, in your User CP options, turn on the invisibility option. Guests cannot hide themselves from the list, but there is no way for a normal user to distinguish two guests from one another. Administrators can see "invisible" members as well as differentiating between guests.
E-Mail:
You are required by GamingEvolved.com to provide your e-mail when registering. At no point is your E-Mail given out or sold, and only Super Moderator's and Administrators can see it unless otherwise specified in your "User CP". In addition, the Administrator will occasionally send out E-Mails to all members regarding updates etc. While it is strongly recommended that you read these E-Mails you can elect not to receive them in your "User CP" options.
Public Forums:
This site makes forums available to it's users. Please remember that any information disclosed in these areas becomes public and you should exercise caution when deciding whether to disclose personal information.
Privacy Policy regarding Spammers:
The Gaming Evolved Privacy Policy is put in place for our legitimate members. Due to Gaming Evolved's proactive fight against Spam and those who provide it, you will NOT be protected by Gaming Evolved's privacy policy if you in anyway attempt to or disregard our Rules against Spam.
